The trip started with hiking up to Herod the Great’s ancient fortress of Machaerus that presents a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding countryside, the Dead Sea, and the West Bank. Next, the group lunched at Haret Jdoudna in Madaba over traditional dishes and Fayrouzian music.
