ESKADENIA signs with the Amman Baccalaureate School on the implementation of enterprise resource planning and e-school management solutions.

The project aims at leveraging the administration performance of the Amman Baccalaureate School up to its best practices through e-enabling the internal and external school operations and providing a seamless streamlined integration of functions. By meeting the needs and requirements of a highly-profiled educational institution as the Amman Baccalaureate School, ESKADENIA’s software solutions demonstrate their flexibility and advanced capabilities to keep up with the latest in the software industry.

The e-school management system will help the school’s staff conduct their daily work routines in an IT-efficient manner through a web-enabled user-friendly interface that taps into four online sub-systems; finance, registration, transportation, and cafeteria management. The finance system is part of ESKADENIA® Business Manager; it provides General Ledger, Budgeting, Bank Reconciliation, Sales & Purchase (School Shop), Fixed Assets, Human Resources, Payroll and Time Attendance management modules. The modules can fully and easily integrate with any other e-school management systems due to the object oriented development methodology applied.

The Registration system allows the recording of all students and data in separate detailed profiles and provides the ability to manage fees payments and to directly update the relevant GL accounts in the finance system. The Transportation system helps to achieve workforce optimisation by providing the tool to efficiently manage the school’s fleet, its maintenance, and distribution. The Cafeteria system moreover follows up on all transactions related to the school’s cafeteria and updates the GL module with all sales and purchase details.

The systems provide for comprehensive reporting capabilities with accurate up-to-date details concerning all the school’s functionalities. Reports can be retrieved according to users’ privileges and authorisation, as defined by the system’s administrator. The systems also provide for easy-to-use web-based tools to perform the daily school routines, including a most effective web-enabled Human Resources Management System (HRMS) that caters for competence, training and management planning for the school.

The systems will be built on the latest Microsoft.NET technology and platforms, applying an Object Oriented approach that concentrates on the business needs rather than the technical limitations embedded in some technologies. An Extreme Programming approach will also be used, shortening lead time, lowering costs, and meeting customers’, not developers’, quality standards and expectations.

The contract was signed by Ms. Samia Al Farra, Principal of Amman Baccalaureate School, and Ms. Doha Abdelkhaleq, Executive Director at ESKADENIA Software Solutions.
