For the Seventh time in a row, the university of Petra launches the Information Technology Students Activity Fair (ITSAF 2011) to bridge gaps between the academia and the private sector. The conference was was held under the auspices of HE Eng. Atef Mohammad Al Tell, Jordan’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology and in cooperation with Jordan information technology association in Jordan (INT@J ) and Jordan computer society(JCS).

ESKADENIA Software participated by sponsoring IT Students and as a member of the Evaluation Committee which focused on the evaluation of the students' graduation projects. Forty projects have been submitted by fifteen Jordanian and several Arab Universities and were exhibited to the public in order to choose best ideas that would fit the needs of the labor market and the private sector.

Executive Director of ESKADENIA Software, Doha Abdelkhaleq highlighted “we noticed an increased effort towards linking between the academia and the private ICT sector in Jordan. We all aim to introduce and benefit from best students and best ideas and they are plenty”

The objectives of the ITSAF are based on a vision for Jordan to lead its development through investing and preparing young ICT students at an early stage and to link them with the private sector and the industries.

About Information Technology Students Activity Fair (ITSAF)
The objectives of ITSAF are based on HM King Abdullah the Second's vision to enable Jordan to be one of the leading countries in IT development. This can take place by means of preparing young personnel who are equipped with modern and up-to-date technology. The Fair aims to offer a valuable opportunity for IT students, at all levels, to exhibit the projects which they had performed during the previous academic year, and the skills they gained, before IT professionals and experts, particularly the representatives of local and international companies. Accordingly, such an activity would connect the participating academic institutions, including the academic staff and students, with the IT industry in one hand, and create the spirit of competition among students and universities on the other. Furthermore, ITSA also includes seminars and an exhibition for IT companies.
