Jordan Business Unveiled 10 Most Powerful Jordanian Women
For the first time in Jordan, Jordan Business featured a list of Jordan’s 10 Most Powerful Women. The winners were selected by Jordan Business readers from an extensively researched list of 40 powerful Jordanian women, from all walks and fields, who have left and continue to leave, an impact on their communities and on Jordan as a whole. Jordan business aimed to highlight the role of Jordanian women leaders through recognizing them as top achievers in their field. They believe that every woman who appeared in their original list deserves to be identified as powerful, and appreciated by her fellow Jordanians.
The Jordan’s 10 Most Powerful Women list included; Deema Hajjawi, Ola Al Fares, Kholoud Mohammad Saqqaf Khawla Al Armouti Fatmeh Al Hmoud Nadia Al Saeed, Haifa Najjar, Hind Al-Fayez, Iman Mutlaq and Doha Abdelkhaleq.
Doha Abdelkhaleq co-founded ESKADENIA Software with Nael Salah in the year 2000, working as an Executive Partner, as well as a legal counsel and an HR expert. She helped develop ESKADENIA through the years by building on business and technology, partnerships, policies and human capital, aiming at growing a profitable company. Prior to that, Doha worked as a legal counsel and as a human resources director in Jordan, Beijing, Shanghai, Lebanon and Stockholm for the telecom company Ericsson; she attained her first L.L.M in law, at The London School of Economics (L.S.E), followed by a second Masters in law at the university of Stockholm, and a diploma at the Beijing Institute for social and legal studies. She attended a HK school of government executive training after her L.L.B in law from the University of Jordan. Doha is an active member in several national committees and forums with a focus on ICT, law, women and entrepreneurship. She is a member and facilitator at Franklin Covey Middle East, a member of counsels at the Jordanian Bar Association, a member of the International Women Forum (IWF) Jordan Chapter and of the US Women Business Leaders’ Summit. Previously a Vice Chair at the Information Technology Association in Jordan Int@j (2002-2007), she attained the Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award for Arab Volunteers Work. Today, Doha contributes to the ICT and business community in Jordan through frequent postings as a columnist for Alghad newspaper. Moreover, Doha is a standing member at the Economic and Social Council in Jordan and a board member at the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan.
